Fun Times in Jenks America
It was a great weekend around Jenks America. The Herb and Plant Festival was going on in town, the Art Walk was out at the RiverWalk. My cousin had a baseball game so when I got off work at the Bleu Door, I went to his game. We headed to the RiverWalk for some delicious pizza at Gina & Gusieppe's. There was live music playing at the amphatheatre. Alaina Whitaker from American Idol was performing later that evening. As I was leaving I saw her drive up and get out to get to the stage...she looked adorable. Sorry I don't have pictures of this evening...I was charging my camera battery at home :-( And it was really gorgeous out yesterday...I'm bummed I didn't get pics.

This week was Administrative Professionals week. So, our chief of staff wanted to have a team building day for us. We went to the delicious Lanna Thai for lunch then over to Riverlanes Bowling Alley for a team "bonding" experience. We had a lot of fun.
After work, several of the ladies came over to my house for pizza and a friendly game of Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit (the only trivial pursuit game I can actually answer a question!). After that the evening continued with lots of girl talk until the wee hours of the morning.
Sam's a Soccer Star!
It was a beautiful night out at the soccer field...
I had to snap this gorgeous sunset.
Sammy
I help out with my bosses family a lot and I'm just another name added to their children's list of fans. I love to go to their soccer, football, basketball & volleyball games.
Sam had a soccer game last monday night. I was never really interested in Soccer but this was a great and intense game. The game went into overtime and they were down to 2 min. left in the first overtime....the next team that scored, won the game. So, Sam was lined up in the corner attempting his 3rd corner kick of the evening. He missed the first 2...they went a little too high. When it counted most, that kid kicked the ball and it curved around and went straight into the net!!! It was sooo exciting. I was so proud of him and totally impressed!
I'm thinkin' about getting the book Soccer for Dummies ;-D
Three of My Favorite Kiddos
Darin & Mollie
Jack, Evie & Grace
I got to hang out with my adopted nieces and nephew last week. I've been friends with their mom since we were juniors in High School. Thanks to Mollie and more so, Darin, I'm forever Aunt Geesh to them.
We took a walk to the neighborhood pond, fed the fish, climbed trees and took lots and lots of pictures. After that we went home, ate dinner, took a bath, put sweet Evie to bed and watched Alvin & the Chipmunks.
I enjoyed my time with them....they have a very special place in my heart.

2008 Good Samaritan Health Services 10th Anniversary Gala
As you know I work for an amazing non-profit organization for the past 3 years...I just had my 3 year anniversary on Friday, the 11th. Good Samaritan Health Services has been bringing free health care into the under-served communities of Tulsa for 10 years now. We had an amazing Gala Friday at The Mayo building (Many famous people including Gene Autry, Elvis Presley & Ronald Reagan stayed there back in the day, check it out) with a silent auction to help raise funds as well as a great speaker, Foster Friess. He gave the first mobile medical unit to Good Samaritan and gave a matching donation for our 2nd mobile medical unit. Friday night Mr. Friess decided to match any money we raised up to $25,000 and on top of that he would throw in a check for $100,000.00!!!! Can you believe it?!?! What a generous man.
We had a great time...Blair & Cristin really did a great job planning this event.

Thank You
As many of you know I went to India fully funded because soooo many gave above and beyond toward my trip to China. God is sooo Good and faithful to provide for our needs. Here is the Thank You card I was able to send out thanks to my friend Jill at Pink Poses. Check out her site....she has some adorable cards for all kinds of occassions and they're affordable!
Thanks Jill!

Nana & the Party Planners
My great grandmother turned 85 in March so on the 30th we decided to surprise her with a party...Boy was she surprised! We had lots of friends and family come to wish her a happy birthday on this momentous day.
We had a fun animal print theme because she is such a stylin' Nana and stays up with fashion and she happens to carry a leopard print purse every now and then!
Rhonda and I had lots of fun decorating and setting up...as always.
Love you Nana!!!
